💵 Funding Rate
Who's paying to hold the trade
Funding is the periodic payment that keeps perpetual futures pinned to spot. Positive funding means longs pay shorts, the market is crowded long and paying up to stay in. Negative funding means shorts pay longs, a crowded short. Read live, glass-box.

How to read funding
Funding is a small percentage paid every eight hours between the two sides of every perpetual contract. When it is positive, longs pay shorts, positioning is crowded long. When it is negative, shorts pay longs, positioning is crowded short. The further funding stretches from zero, the more one-sided and expensive the trade has become. Every figure here is pulled live, straight from the source, glass-box.
